Well, I have been "peeing" myself little by little all day and I have been having really strong contractions for 2 days but they arent consistant. The contractions will be 3-5 min apar for an hour or so then they will space out to 20-30 min and then I quit paying attention to them. The contractions are pretty uncomfortable. They hurt mostly in my lower back along w/ menstral like cramps. My BH were either painless or accompanied by soreness at the top of my uterus so these feel diff the last 2 days. But the "peeing" started last night.I was lying on my back asleep and I felt a gush of liquid that I swore wasnt pee so I went to the bathroom and it was a golf ball-sized wet spot in my undies and soaked through to my jammies but that was it. There was no more coming out so I assumed that is was just pee and went to bed. It happened 1 or 2 more times last night and its happened twice sice I have been awake while I was walking around but it hasnt been as much as the first time. The first time i really didnt feel like pee but the times since then I couldnt feel where it was coming from and it could have been pee but I havent hd any issues w/ bladder control thus far??? Whats going on?

PS I am due friday.

Hrrrmmm. Yours sounds more convincingly like a leak in your amniotic sac then mine did b/c it's kept happening. Do you have any Ph paper? If you do, test the fluid and see if it turns the paper blue - then you'll know is your water. Or you could call your CP and they could do that test for you. Hoping it's your little one on it's way!!!

Well the contactions are really far apart now and I havent had the gushing thing since earlier this afternoon. I give up. I still have wetness but I dont feel it gush out like earlier. I think this is just watery CM.

With my first, I had a trickle type break and no major contractions to speak of until about 20 hours later when I gave in to the pitocin at the hospital. It could definitely be your water and your body is just not ready to start contracting yet. My advice would be to treat it as if it was your water and be careful (nothing goes in, keep an eye out for fever, vitamin c, what else?). If you're birthing in a hospital, do not go in until you're contracting regularly and think you're pretty dilated, unless you have something come up like a fever etc. Because once you go in, you're on the clock. Good luck mama! :
