my 9 week old is off then on with his latch. off and on off and on off and on....you get the pic. he is getting more air than milk. i will nurse for an hour and end up engorged. the on again and off again is stimulating let down after let down.
ive been dealing with thrush, is that causing him not to keep a latch? he has a good latch when he is latched on. does his mouth hurt from thrush too? or is it just something he does? any suggestions? he goes to daycare and has ebm in bottles but it isnt confusing to him.

My 9mth old is the same way, I think he is just more interested in what is going on around him rather than just nursing. Have you tried a dark, quiet, room?
From what I know Thrush is painful to the child and can be painful to the mother also, my son had thrush around 4mths and he was'nt nursing good when it was at it's worse....
