But I thought you wise women might have some suggestions.
DD is 9 1/2 months old and IN LOVE with our dog (Chihuahua). Unfortunately, she often expresses this love by grabbing onto his tail and ears and not letting go (and she has freakishly strong hands!). Our dog--bless his heart--couldn't be nicer about it--he has NEVER growled, snapped, or shown any signs of agression--but obviously he doesn't like it too much. As dd becomes more and more mobile, the problem is escalating.
So my question is, how and when do you teach babies about gentle touch wrt dogs? How can we help them to happily and peacefully coexist? We do not want to separate them, because they both really like playing with toys together. But how can we help dd to stop grabbing at him?
