So I totally feel like I'm scratching my skin off. I missed the phone call from my doctor's office on Friday about my blood results, so now I have to wait until tomorrow to talk to them. But the voicemail that they left said that they needed to talk to me about my results, so I don't know whether or not to be scared/ worried. I'm still hoping that all my itching is just from the antibiotics that I was on for a week, which I finished on Friday.

Something I did notice today was that I am scratching so much that I am actually causing bruises on my legs. Sucks. I'm wondering if my iron levels are low, which would explain my exhaustion lately (which I thought that I was just having slight depression lately, which comes and goes).

I will keep everyone updated on what I find out tomorrow from my doctor. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. This is a very scary situation for us to be in.

Have you looked up your antibiotic to see if that's a possible side effect? You could talk to a pharmacist to see what they think.

Is there not an on-call nurse or doctor at the clinic? I know some clinics make it a no no for nurses to give out lab results, but sometimes nurses will do it anyway. If you get numbers of some kind, you could look them up or maybe the doctor that read them made notes on your chart and the on-call person could tell you what it says? Granted, probably not much you can do at the moment, but at least you'd maybe find out.

It sounds dreadful. I have severe itching to where I'm bleeding on my arms and stomach after I have c-sections (from the narcotics in my spinal) for 2-3 days post-delivery. It's almost depressing in a way. ::HUGS::

I didn't even think of seeing if there was an on call nurse or doctor. I just figured I would wait until Monday so I could talk to my doctor or at least his nurse, so they could explain it to me.

And it's very depressing with all the itching. I barely sleep and I can't even seem to stop myself from scratching. I cry b/c it hurts so bad. DF tries everything he can to help, and I love him for that.

I don't have any helpful advice but I have had experiences with itching in my life and I know how insane-making it is. I will be praying that the news tomorrow is good and that whatever they are calling about is something that involves you feeling better and no complications. Hang in there.
