Very confusing stuff!

The "trial" is not occuring in the US, but there seemed to be so much contradictory info out there.

Pictures? One article said yes, others just mentioned inventory info. Range? One article said a few feet another said it could still be working in your home, others mentioned using them as a tracking system for inventory cross country.

They were mostly being compared to UPC codes, which I have no problem with. And if they were not taking pictures or being tracked into homes (because that was impossible) I think it could be a good thing for the reasons mentioned (less transportation costs, get rid of expired/recalled merchandise easier).

"Yet" being the operative word. Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't mean it won't happen. RFID's are already being tested in Brochton, MA.
