Can anyone recommend a pull up trainer that a child would not consider a diaper?

Do you sew?
Right now I'm experimenting, my son is 4 but about 50% of the time wets the bed at night, I just bought some larger size underpants, and I'm going to cut them open on the sides, and sew in an absorbent panel of terry............ then sew them back up the sides. I am thinking about waterproofing the underpants first.
I'm going to work on them this weekend, if I get a few moments. It "sounds" to me like it would work. (I couldn't find any training type underpants in the stores big enough.... he wears size 6 underpants - the largest trainers I saw were 3T)

I like our Bummis waterproof trainers. I think the large is pretty big... we use the meds and they go up to 40#.

I have some Kushies pull-on trainers that I bought at Kelly's Closet.
They are $7.95 each w/free shipping.
The XXL fits from 45-50 pounds.

Here's a link:

https://secure5.nexternal.com/shared...unt2=906745553

Thanks for the suggestions.

We noticed today that Zoe is having absence seizures again, so maybe this is why she regressed after having an almost perfect potty record for the past month.
