Hello everyone!

Just thought I would ask this wonderful mothering community for help/inspiration.

Just realized our picnic party will not be very likely this Saturday as it is going to rain!

I will therefore have roughly 10-15 9 year old girls in my small flat.

If someone has some idea with regards to crafts projects/engaging games, I would love to hear from you!

Make tiaras or wands. Paint bidhouses.

Make it a spa theme? Polish nails, put on yummy smelling lotion, lip gloss, sparkly powder...etc.

Our dollar store had small canvas bags (3/$1.00) and sets of fabric paint. Kids love decorating things like this and then can take them home. They have other cute projects there, too.

My daughter would love making stretchy bracelets. Get the strands on sale at hob lob or joanns and some stretchy stuff and a bit of super glue and you would be good to go. We also love crayons on canvas- lots of different ideas on Pinterest.

Depending on where you live, embrace the rain. Have people wear rain gear and go for a "boot walk" or other exploration. Back a cool "rain snack" like hot cocoa etc.

Working with wax is great, beeswax candles or modeling wax.

Beading is always good.

Large scale art project with sharpies and paint.
