Has anyone used Mother-ease one size dipes? What are they like? Do they work well? Did you like the covers? I'm thinking of investing in some and am wondering if they're worth it....

I personally prefer the Motherease Sandy's diapers but then again I don't like one-size diapers in general so probably am not the best person to critique their one size diapers in particular LOL.

I find Motherease diaper take about 1-2 months of washing to get really good. They are usable before then...just know that they do get more absorbant with time (which actually probably explains their high resale value LOL). One the bright side, these diapers are TOUGH! The stay looking nice for years while other diapers fall apart. I like that in a diaper!

I love the Motherease Airflow covers. They are a bit poofy but they fit over any type of diaper. The other thing is that you don't have to have the waist and legs "tight" to have coverage so I think it might be more comfortable for babes.

I love the mother ease one size dipes! Myds is now 18 months, almost 29 pounds, and I still use them. there is still room to grow. My son is a heavy wetter, and just a light doubler in these is good enough for him. I think the ME covers are great aswell. virtually leak proof!

On this board you'll find people who either love them or hate them. I have a full set of 26 ME OS dipes with snap-in liners and they served us very well for a year until my dd potty trained. I thought they worked very well, absorbed as much as a prefold, and grew with my toddler. In the beginning of potty training I used them like pull-ups with my dd with the cover off. I'm expecting in Feb. and those OS dipes will be used for one more round.

I've heard that the Sandy's are slightly more absorbent and less bulky but we were on a budget and I found the OS dipes to be very economical. One warning on them, they take absolutely *forever* to break in and work properly. It took many hot washes with full detergent to get them to absorb, and a few weeks to get them to their full performance level. But they work great, never had a leak with them and they hold onto poop well too. My dd had a tummy bug and they never once leaked even during that time.

The ME Airflow covers are awesome too, but if you don't like their prints (I got bored of them) try Snapdragon covers. They are similar in design but much cuter and much greater size range with the extender tabs.

Oh gosh! lol! It's www.theposiepatch.com

Yeah wash that baby to death in hot water and it might start working for you in a few washes. Remember not to judge it until it's a couple weeks old at least, as it won't be up to full potential yet.

I prefer the Sandys diaper. The OS was bulky on my baby even at 12lbs. Then at 27lbs my older son could barely wear it. I LOVE both the ME Airflow cover and Tiffany's Snapdragons covers.
to my sandies. While I was at work yesterday (and DH was left alone w/the fluff), he forgot to put a cover over DS's sandy - took him to a soccer game - at least 2 hours, and you know what - DS's clothes were still dry when I got home and noticed the missing cover!

I sort of love/hate ME OS. I bought them after hearing lots of hype about how great they are and was really disapointed in their absorbancy. I also didn't like (and still don't) the fact that the doubler snaps in the front instead of the back. When my dd was using the fold over setting the doubler had to just lay in the diaper and it always drooped and bunched up.

However, over time, I've come to appreciate the quick dry style and long lasting wear. I also love the gentle cotton binding and nice long rise. Now I use them as my diaper bag dipes with an infant cpf tucked inside.

FWIW I like OS better than Sandys because of the soft binding and faster drying time and also because they still fit and my dd has long since grown out of the large Sandy's.

AF is my all time fav pul cover!!!!
