I know that I am not the only one here who has issues with mothers day due to one of their abusers being their mother.

I am almost at peace with today...now that my mother has passed away, and I can mostly just focus on my own kids...but stuff still comes up.

I want you all to know that I love that you are here for me, and that I am here for you-I know how hard it can be, and I smile with you all when it gets a bit easier as well-

peace and love and light to you all today-

A.

Thanks. (My mom wasn't my abuser but she protected my abuser...my dad.) I miss my mom, but mostly I miss the woman I wanted her to be.

Today, I didn't call my mother. I think that is a positive step for me.

I tried very hard to not think about her. I've only recently gone no-contact again and it feels so very very bad. It is right. It is what is necessary for me and my daughter, but god it hurts.

So we invited my MIL out to Mother's Day brunch (even though my relationship with her is just lukewarm). She accepted, but then she stood us up because she wanted to watch her "church service" ON TV!!!!!!!!

We got stood up for a TV show. Freakin' unbelievable.

My children basically have no grandparents. It's sad.

This mother's day was so odd. Over the weekend I attended a homebirth that ended in transport and the mama was so close to dying. I spent the weekend so grateful that a little baby had her mother that I forgot about my own issues for once.
