I am only 10 weeks along but I have been feeling a light thump every now and then for the past few days now. At first I just wrote it off as gas or whatever and assumed it would go away but nope. Is this even possible? I have heard that it's quite common to feel movement earlier with each pregnancy and this is my second but sheesh! Anybody else? Or what is the earliest you've ever felt movement?

I've been feeling thumps for the last couple days too. I don't think you're crazy as long as you don't think I'm crazy.

I told DH that it felt like the baby was kicking me and he said, "That's impossible! It doesn't even have legs yet!" I almost died from laughter and then showed him what the baby looks like this week. No legs! LOL!

No, I don't think you are crazy. I was beginning to wonder about myself though. I haven't told my husband or anyone else because I just want to be sure that's what it is. That's really funny what your husband said. How many weeks are you?

I posted earlier today that I started feeling movement around 10w2d or 10w3d.

This morning while nursing Carter, I could feel a very firm, plum-sized little object at the top of my uterus. It was during a contraction that I could feel it, and don't think I would have otherwise.

I felt movement with Carter at 13w4d.

I could have sworn the other morning I felt movement. There was just a flurry of activity in that region! I thought I was crazy...so maybe not!

I'm glad other people are feeling their little ones, too. I knew when I felt it, without a doubt, that it was my baby.

However, I have a little ritual of reading about my appropriate week in Your Pregnancy Week-by-Week, the night before I "turn" the next week. The book is crap, and I know it, but still, I did it with Carter, and it is nice to see the pictures, read about the size, etc. Well, in Week 11, it states, "If you think you feel your baby move at this time, you either have gas or are further along in your pregnancy than you thought."

I was insulted!

Just out of curiosity, was the author a male??

Co-authored, a male and a female. I guess they are both supremely condescending.

I felt dd2 at 11 weeks.

eta: I did have to kind of press down just a tad though, from the outside, to feel it on the inside. I forget when I felt her without doing that. I discovered this when I was trying to figure out if I could find the top of my uterus, wondering what they felt when they checked fundal height.

I could have sworn I felt a little flutter yesterday, but then I haven't noticed anything since. Of course, I've either been sleeping or on the go with kids activities, not much down time to just sit and relax.

Either that, or it was a really WEIRD form of gas. I know what gas feels like and it wasn't even close to what I felt.

its actually quite possible. I felt DS at only 8 weeks. I was thinking maybe it was gas too but I asked the dr if it was crazy that I thought it was him and she said it probably was and that anything is possible. I guess there isnt anything to say for sure it was but I know it was. I felt my daughter at 9 weeks.

I could have sworn I felt it too a couple of nights ago, I'll be 10 wks tomorrow. I would have assumed it was gas but I was sitting with my shirt up. One of the rare moments with this pg to think about baby and have some quiet time. And I saw my belly move, a little thump in the same spot, 3 or 4 times. Yes it could have felt like gas bubbles, but I've never SEEN gas bubbles! Maybe it was baby!
