At 15.5 wks I feel possible flutters but not 100% sure. With a very active toddler who stays up as late as I do, I don't exactly get to lie around noticing belly sensations . I must say that I got tired of the constant kicking and hiccoughs last time around - they often kept me up!

I'm so excited... I noticed flutters a bit ago in the middle of doing other stuff so baby is making his/herself known now! I'm so excited!

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that I haven't felt any movement yet. With my dd it was at about 17 weeks that I felt the first little flutters. I was hoping that this time it would be substantially early. Haruph!

A friend of mine and I were talking when I was bemoaning the fact that I could feel the baby moving at 12 weeks but we just could not find the heartbeat on doppler- ironic no? She said she felt her second baby earlier than her third baby so I guess they really are all different. Maybe you have a laid back baby.

Then again, if that's the case I'm in trouble!

Welcome, Darcy! I think there is an intro thread, or a chit-chat thread, higher up in the discussion. You can introduce yourself there, if you like. Glad to have you!

I'm 14 weeks and haven't felt flutters for about a week, but my uterus also grew a lot this week, so I'm not surprised. That's when I always noticed a slow-down in movements, right after a growth spurt. I'm also hoping for a more mellow baby, so I'm just going to hope this baby is quieter than my very lively dd!

Hi all, this is my first. I have felt a pinching feeling, sometimes left sometimes right. So if this is the baby, I missed the first time! I am chubby, but not in my belly, uterine area (thighs and boobs mostly). Did I feel the baby?

I am 16w3days......wondering! I know it's going well, cause I just heard the heart beat for the second time.

Kat, that makes sense to me about the uterine growth spurt... I think I had the same thing this week! Sure enough, when I tuned in last night, I could definitely feel the baby! These movements feel more like scratches (but not quite) than like those weird "waterbed" flutters from before. I LOVE it!!!!!

Darcy and ltk!

ltk, I haven't felt a pinching, but who knows? I find it all rather mysterious and exciting (this is my first, too). As Einstein said, "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious."

We were at the store yesterday, and while we were checking out, I felt a quick movement. Kinda like a jump, like when you go over a hill fast and your tummy jumps. It was enough for me to go "Oooh!" And both dh and the cashier looked at me funny, but I just laughed to myself.

I'm at 17 wks (due may 1st) and have felt 'pushes' and nudges for about 2 wks off and on. Today I got the first good kick! I was lying in bed with my hand on my stomach, and it felt a firmly planted, two-footed bunny hop type kick. Dh saw the sudden smile on my face and asked what was up.

It's great isn't it? We all sound so excited when we post a new report.

I've been feeling movement from 11 wks. Way early I know I tried to convince myself it was gas until it was unmistakable at 12 weeks. Anyway to my question. The other night (14w 4d) this kid started boinging up and down so much it woke me up about 3am. I was laying on my left side then while he was boinging I felt a stong stretching out the right side of my belly like legs stretching out I could feel a bump with my hand that quickly moved away when I pushed on it. I am 15 wks tomorrow and my dates are absolute. I am getting seriously worried about twins because of the baby stretching sensation whilst the bouncing continued. oh and my fundus is above my belly button. Crazy I know but I never feel movement before 16 weeks and then it takes a few weeks to get to this point so either it's 2 or I have a gymnast huge baby in there! hahaha.

anakna- I wonder the same thing sometimes... I felt ds early (14 weeks) but this one I thought I felt some tiny movements at 9 weeks and a few weeks later I was more sure. I'm not planning an u/s so I guess we'll know later in the pregnancy if I start measuring really big or something because with my first two I always measured right on, give or take a week and never measured larger than about 36 cm (maybe less? I'll have to ask mw what she has written down) since I carry them low.

Ok well i am updating my post from nov.18. I am now 15 weeks and 1 day and i DEFINITELY feel the baby! It started about 3 days ago, the movements and little bumps here and there. And last night it was sooo strong, i actually almost felt uncomfortable. Im also wondering if i am having bh contractions, i never had them with my first pregnancy so its hard for me to say what this is...

i've felt a few definite kicks, but things are still pretty irregular- which i hate!! : Once i feel movement, i want it all the time I start thinking that everytime i sit down or lie down, he or she should start rolling around, but not always so.

also... i think our babe is pretty fixated on the left side. anyone else think their babe more or less stays in the same place?

Kelly, yeah I think this one is on my left side. I mean, my whole uterus seems to be mainly on the left side so I guess that's where babe implanted and has started growing from.

Not much movement here either at 17w3d I keep thinking I really should be feeling it consistently by now. I *think* I've felt movement a few times over the last few weeks but just not enough to finally call it movement, yk?

But Mace was this way...I felt him around 13 weeks or so then he stopped and I didn't feel him much again until around 18-19 weeks or so. Could have to do with my retroverted uterus...I dunno.

I'm sure in the not too distant future these little kicks we're looking for will be painful and uncomfortable (they get that way for me anyway, close to the end)

edited for typos

Oh, Anakna! Will you have a 20 wk ultrasound? My mw told me last week that if I hadn't just has an u/s she'd be sending me one to rule out twins. Otherwise, you may just have a really active baby! Does that fit with yours and dh's personalities? I found that Clara's out-of-the-womb personality really fit with who she was in the womb: lots of energy, but needs her downtime, just like me and dh.

I got my first good kick yesterday. Lots of flutters, too, but my belly is also on another growth spurt so I may not feel anything for a while again. At least I'm prepared for the on-again-off-again movement. Last time it was a big cause of panic for me.

KatSG I will be having one a week from wed I'll be 16w3d. It probably is just one, big babies run in my fam but my 3 have been between 7-8lbs pretty normal but who knows i could get a 10lbder. My first was really active starting about 16 weeks my 2nd was more normal my 3rd was very very quiet. It drove me crazy she would just roll a little now and then I would check her heart rate with my stethescope every night at the end she is my crazy dare devil child now. She broke her arm jumping off a table a couple months ago. How she got up there we will never know lol.

The thing that concerns me now is the burning in my ribcage where it feels like my uterus is pressing on it when I sit down. I usually get that in late 20 weeks. This is really early for me. Like ILoveMySofie I never measure more than 36-38 at the end so this is big for me but it is my 4th pregnancy I need to keep that in mind.

Like other have said I love the kicking part especially at the beginning it's like having an unexpected surprise through out the day.
