I've thought I've felt some flutters but dismissed them cuz I thought it was still too early...I'm 14 1/2 weeks with my 2nd child...how early can you start feeling movement?

I thought I felt movement around 10 weeks. I definitely felt movement last week. Nothing since. Seems like it will still take some time for me to feel it regularly.

It took forever for me to feel movement with DD. Like the books said "you may begin to feel movement this week" and it took me 3-4 weeks longer. Don't know why. I'm hoping I'll get to feel more this time since I know what to expect.

I felt movement last week at 11 weeks, It felt like jumping inside of me- over and over and over. I kept trying to feel it with my hand on the outside- but I could only feel it on the inside :)

I haven't felt anything this week though (12 weeks)

I didn't feel DD #1 until 13 weeks- and with her it was flutters :)

What!! I am SO jealous. I can't feel a thing and I am 15w2d. I know that is totally normal and I shouldnt freak out but hearing all you ladies feel movement makes me anxious to feel it also!

frannie, with dd i had an anterior placenta so it was a LONG time before i felt anything. plus my ob phrased it politely that i am a bit fluffy and that makes movement harder to feel.... i don't know if i feel anything yet with this babe but on occasion i will feel a tiny thump.. usually after ice cream.

I keep thinking I feel something, but I'm not really sure. It's probably just gas or something

hildare I disagree with your OB. I'm fluffy too, and I felt my first at 14w5d(anterior placenta), my second around 12 weeks(placenta at fundus), and my third around 11 weeks(placenta lower right hand side). I find it has more to do with where you placenta is. I haven't felt movement yet this time, but I can feel the baby in there. I can feel that there is a person in my uterus. If that even makes sense. He or she just feels a little reserved in making his or her presence known.

lol.. my grandma used to have a fridge magnet that was a little sheep and it said "ewe's not fat, ewe's fluffy."

right of p-- it was probably the anterior placenta, but the fluff was another layer on top. kind of like a cake.. (oh my. none of that.)

Teddy bears are "fluffy"

Frannie, I did not have an anterior placenta and I didnt feel DD move until around 18 weeks. I think you always feel it sooner with the second pregnancy.

Im "fluffy" (about 20 lbs overweight before I got pg) and Ive been feeling movement since about week 11. This week has be super regular though. Im starting to feel like there is a human in there!

You guys have really felt the baby as early as 11 weeks?! With DD, I didn't feel her kicking until about 17 weeks and it felt like muscle twitches. DH was able to feel her kicking one week later.

With this one, I definitely feel that there's a baby in there, but haven't felt movement yet--at least I don't think I have. I can't wait until I can feel the baby though. It was one of my most favorite things about being pregnant!

Without a doubt I felt number 3 at 11 weeks, and I was in the 240lbs range. :) He is a busybody, always into something and that definetly started in the womb. :p

I felt my first at 11 weeks... this time is seems to be slower. I only feel things rolling around in my uterus on palpation... and then only randomly. But there's no question about it... !
