WE've had huge financial struggles in the last 1/2 year or so and we are moving this weekend--as we can't afford where we are living. Most likely we'll move in with my aunt and she and my mother are helping us get into a home down by my family (huge extended family all in one town, so I'm excited about this)...what a toll this is taking. dh has is working out of state and I'm packing up this house by myself, pregnant, with 2 kids and 2 pets....Thankfully my dad is coming up to actually transport everything for me.

I'm hoping this move will be a new start for us and give me the added family support I've been needing. Also thankfully, there is a homebirth midwife near where I'm moving...I haven't met her yet, but I'm hoping for the best.

: I hope it all goes well. I can't imagine trying to pack the house on my own right now with DH completely out of state.
It sounds like the move will be a positive one.

Smooth moving vibes to you and yours! We moved when dd2 was about 6 months old and it was a real circus.... but both girls adapted well and DH/I managed to get through it in one piece as well. But I can imagine how it feels for you right now!

Good luck!

I hate packing, but packing by yourself while pregnant and looking after your children!! I would have given up on any order and started randomly chucking things in boxes. I hope the move goes smoothly and you are well looked after in your new town.

Praying everything goes as smoothly as possible for you, Sarah. Where are you moving to? Still in Michigan?

I know how hard that is. My sister's husband did not have a job for the 6 months before their second baby was born. It was right after 9/11 and he was a new piolet. They had to live with my parents and he had a hard time with it, and my sister was so stressed. The best advice I can give is don't give a damn what others might think of you. Just go with the flow and try to relax. Everyone is going through a hard time right now.

s we moved back from North Carolina to Ohio when I was six months pregnant with DS... we stayed in my grandparents cottage for five months then moved in with my dad in may of 07... it was all supposed to be temporary while we looked for jobs. But those jobs have never materialized and so DH just went back to school in January to become a paramedic/firefighter. We're still living with my Dad. Its worked out surprisingly well. Whether we'll stick around here long-term or not I have no idea. I suspect not - neither of us are big fans of Ohio, but it *IS* nice to be by all of our family and have their help/support. And living with family definetly has its perks - free, live in child care for one and major food/housing discounts for two

Yep--I'm moving 2 hours south, just northwest of G.R. This will be a smart move for us, I'm sure.

Thanks everyone. I'm sore and tired, but we're moving along!
