I just sorted through 5 yrs of digital pics. My friend made me realize that as a scrapbooker, I have control of the past.

I control what gets remembered and what doesn't. My marriage sucked. Obviously I know this now. Why have pics of things I don't want to see recall. 20 pics of x's motorcycle- that he just up and bought when I begged him not to- DELETED. 10 pics of his Bose wave radio (aka. $500 alarm clock) that I begged him not to waste our money on- DELETED. 4 pics of him w/o a shirt pre-diet- DELETED.

5 pics of his receding hairline and baldspot so he could track his hair loss- DELETED. Pics of my IL's vacations that they e-mailed us- DELETED. Anyway...obviously x has a back-up of all these and I did save a few of IL's vacations for the kids to see their grandparents in cool places. Anyway, having a cathartic afternoon!

I recently did the same thing. I backed up all the wedding pics and baby pics and have deleted every pic of stbx from my computer. At least his pic doesn't stream by on the screensaver anymore.
