Hi everyone....We are moving to Cordele, Ga, and wondering if there is anyone else in the area. Or maybe you could tell me what it is like/what to expect. This is a HUGE move for us....we live in Nunavut, Canada (the arctic, Santa is our neighbour
) Seriously, there is still snow here!! And my DS has NO summer clothes! I know we are going to melt while we acclimatize
I'm very excited about joining all of you in a much nicer climate

Hi Erika,
I'm not in Cordele, but I am in Georgia, so I wanted to say
. We drive through Cordele on our way to Florida every year. I do know that it's the Watermelon Capital of the World. Yummy! I also know that it is regularly in the high 90's there for much of the summer. And lots of mosquitos...
: You will not see snow at all that far south (well, maybe once every 20 years or so). It is very humid, so buy lightweight cotton clothes. I'm sure you've already seen this site, but I'll pass it along just in case : http://www.cordele-crisp-chamber.com/ . Good luck with your move

Thank you, Paige! I did see that it was the watermelon capital...and I love watermelon...! Thanks for the heads up on the heat & mosquitoes ~ I hadn't thought of the little pests
: It's only about 35 degrees here today....wow we're in for a system shock! Thanks so much for the hello!

Warmly,
Erika
