Hey all,

I am moving to Ga next feb/march after the baby is born but I am looking to find some mama's to get to know before hand and to get some recommendations on good ap pediatricians, ob/gyn, and breastfeeding support. We will probably be moving to Cherokee County.

Anyhoo...looking forward to chatting with y'all.

I'm in Paulding Co. but not too far from Cherokee. I personally don't have a ped. but I hear good things about Dr. Abrahms at 6460 Spalding DR # D Norcross, Georgia 30092 - Phone: (770) 449-0844 and about Dr. Kute www.drkute.com. Neither are all that close but they are the closest that are semi crunchy I think. I am no help with an ob/gyn but I can hook you up with a homebirth midwife!
You can check here for BFing support http://www.lllofga.org/areamap.htm#N...Atlanta%20Area and there is a great LLL group in Kennesaw that I go to. Good luck with the move!

I live in Cherokee County. I have a 4 year old and a newborn just born May 29th. We see Dr. Long in Kennesaw as our pediatrician. Margaret Strickhouser in Roswell was my midwife for the birth of our child, and she's great, but I'm looking for a closer OB now that I'm not pregnant. And there's LLL in kennesaw, woodstock and canton. I haven't actually made it to any yet since they're held at 10 am and my daughter is usually just getting to sleep around then after an entire night of being awake! Maybe one of these days
: Good luck with everything.
