So, due to many signs and circumstances, we are finally moving to LA from NYC. We have been talking about it for a few years, but just haven't had enough reason to go and now we do. DH and I are both in the entertainment industry, so it makes sense to be there. We were just trying to make it work in NYC, which we prefer as a city, and as a lifestyle.

That's not to say we won't find things we like and even love about LA. We are thinking positive and determined to find a great area and home that feels like us.

First and foremost, what areas should we look in? We are young, creative, and will be renting...don't want to pay more than $1800, and are even willing to have a one bedroom, since our 16 month old son sleeps with us.

We are AP, and into natural family living, and would love to find an area where it's easy to meet other like-minded folks.

We wouldn't mind a bit of a commute,
though we also might like an area where one can feasibly walk around some.

What areas should we look in?
Are there any resources for apartment searching besides craigslist that you know of for the area?

THANKS SO MUCH for any help!!!

ps--and I hope to meet some LA MDC mamas soon IRL too
