Today (twice) when wiping I got a big clump of clear jelly. Never had it before so I'm not sure if this is just pregnancy CM or part of the mucus plug. Anyone else?

If it is the mucus plug - does that mean things are starting to happen down there? I'm only 32 weeks with #3...I don't want to have to worry about PT labor.

From what I have read and heard, your mucus plug can regenerate. So if you lose it, it can still reform. Looking forward to hearing what more experienced mamas have to share.

I remember the mucus plug as being pink tinged, not just clear.

When I started to lose my mucous plug with DD, it was more yellow than clear, sometimes more pink or a bit blood tinged. I have the clear jelly from time to time, but I don't think it's my mucous plug.

I've also had occasional clumps of clear jelly-like mucous for the past couple of weeks. I'm reminding myself that it's my body keeping itself healthy and renewing CM - and wearing pantiliners every day. Thank god for cloth pads!

I'm pretty sure I lost some mucous plug today, which worries me because I know I'm already 2cm dilated and with my other kids I always lost it 2 days before going into labor. Hoping that doesn't happen yet.

I wouldn't worry. With baby #1 I was 3 cm dilated and losing plug at 34 weeks. She wasn't born until 39 weeks.

I lost a ton of mine around 28 weeks. From what I understand it just keep regenerating until you are really in labor, in which case it will be blood streaked (aka bloody show) and then you'll know things are going on.

I wouldn't say it HAS to be colored....I'm positive I lost some last week and it was white/clear. Might be TMI but it was think enough and large enough to feel come out and make me go to the bathroom to check. It was not normal CM by any means. I think later on when more starts to come and bloody show is involved it will def. change color but doesn't necessarly have to. Again though as others said since it can reform it's not that big of a deal. Suprising sometimes but doesn't have to mean anything either.
