Yeah, I'm glad too. Just curious, don't really want to get it either.

My DH's boss's daughter supposedly had/has them. This was a week or so ago. I haven't heard anything since. When my DH told his boss that we don't vaccinate, she was a little peeved at him
like our unvaxed kids contributed to her daughter getting sick
: . DH hasn't brought it up since, but I'll check today. They live in Wabasha MN.

my 29 yr old sister has them. She is fully vaxed. The mumps has been going around in several other midwestern states and it's proving that the vax is not very effective.
Turns out it WASN'T the mumps. My DH overheard them talking about it and jumped to conclusions. Not sure what he was thinking, the goof

But he did have some conversation with them about it.

Not many confirmed cases in Minnesota - only 9 or so. Here's a link to a map as of May 1.

My sis got her titres back and they confirm its the mumps. She'll be interviewed by the health dept in a couple of days or so. Mumps is subclinical or has nonspecific viral illness symtoms in 60-70% of cases, so it's hard to get accurate stats on who's got it unless a titre is done. It's easy to get misdiagnosed or just plain missed all together.
Wow, cool map! Thanks!
