The only Music Together class is in Augusta and waterville and I don't like the way that teacher does her classes (she's pretty forced and forces participation, doesn't acknowledge children, and doesn't seem to enjoy wanderers also speeds her way through classes, yeah I didn't enjoy her class nor did my then 2 year old). My Ds will be 1 in September and I very much want to do some type of music with him. Any ideas? We can travel to Farmington, Augusta or Waterville.

I love Music Together and wish someone with music in their heart would start teaching in our area again!!!! The woman who taught in Farmington was out of thus world but she MOVED!!!!!!

I don't know exactly what a Music Together class involves, but Rising Sun Dance Studio on the Winthrop/Monmouth line has a terrific teacher who does music/movement Mommy & Me classes. My son did that for two years (ages 2-4) and this year moved onto a tap class. My daughter has also worked with Jen for three years, in tap & ballet. I cannot recommend her highly enough - she's patient & loving and a fantastic teacher. Her website is http://risingsundance.com/content.php?id=about. It looks like she's probably in the midst of redoing it - the kids had their recital today. There are dance camps over the summer, and classes resume in the fall. I'm sure she would be happy to answer any questions for you though.

Thank you so so much!! We are close enough for wintrop/monmouthy to be very easy for us and Dd is very interested in dancing and movement and I don't want anything competitive, just fun! That sounds like just the place!!
