NAK too!
I haven't tried the size 1 or size 2 so I just ordered one in FS & one in SS in each size & a bunch of NB ones (awesome little dipes!)
I've had the 3 step rise one size & really didn't care for them. I found all the snaps too confusing.
Claire- you should get one of the pink & chocolate or majenta & chocolate ones for baby Joie. Super yummy!

For my 2 year old I use the 3 step rise one-size but the snaps are annoying for a little baby. Baby Winter would wear a size 1 right now and I prefer front snapping.

Ahhh, under size 1? I must admit I'm a sucker for those velour/velour combos. I looooove velour! If I were an article of clothing, I guess I'd be a track suit!

I really love the NB Mutts. They still fit joie well. Did you know though that Fluffymail's first version of newborn fitteds were really similar to those? Two step rise & all.

Really? I didn't know that about FM. Mutts are certainly a lot easier to score. I've been trying for months to get a FM without luck.
Claire- do you possibly have a pic of Joie wearing a Mutt that you could PM me? I'd really like to see how they fit. (Considering that I will have almost 2 dozen of them in the baby's stash once these ones arrive! LOL)
There were NB pink & chocolate & a bubble gum color & lots of other yummy ones...

I'll PM ya. I should take a picture of her still in her NB Mutts. She's 3 mos old BTW. They're not even on the tightest snaps. Mmm, love that! I REALLY like them for overnight. They're my favorite for night... ooh in that yummy velour! Ok... I need to figure out what to do here. I want to try a bigger one for her. Man. The options! I feel like a little gnat unable to figure it all out!

Oh, so I just PM'd you this, but thought I shoudl tell the world...
My NB was a lil over 8 lbs and I LOVED Mutts NB from the get go. But, if you have smaller newborns than me... go with The Calico Baby. Oh! It was great!!! Everything I liked about Mutts, but smaller (and a dif design). Oh man!!! That's a great lil newborn diaper. It's little but absorbant and soft and squishy and SO well made!!! If you have smaller newborns than me though, I REALLY loved the www.thecalicobaby.com nb fitteds until she was 9 1/2 lbs.

Claire,

If you don't mind my asking...what does Joie weigh now? Saira just barely fits her Mutts at 8.5wks and I can't decide if she is just really big for her age or what. I was so hoping that our newborn diapers would last longer than they did, but the Mutts lasted the longest. Even some of our smalls are...well, small!

I should really take a pic of her in a Mutt now. She's right around 12 lbs. But, my babies are long. She's a lil over 24 inches. Some babies really get so nice and squishy so fast. My son did, but both my girls seem to be on the slower plan.

Congrats on lil Saira!

Okay...I guess she's just a mini giant then. She was 23.5" at birth and is over 14lbs already, so that might explain the tight fit in the mutts already! ...this is really a change for me as my first two were only 18lbs at 1yr...I'm not sure if Saira is going to level off or just keep growing off the charts!

Thanks for the input (and the congrats)!

tia - 3-steps are one size. any one size is most likely bulky on a nb. there are some aio's there, too. nb mutts fit nb-12/13 lbs apprx.

tia, i'm just not a mutt expert at all. i think they should say either a size or OS (one size, which is the 3-step rise deal). her different varieties confuse me more than any other wahm's. most of them are easier to understand. you can't go wrong with a nb mutt though.

I've been spending quite a bit of time on the Muttaqin Baby site lately , so maybe I can help. From the home page, click on "Our Products". That brings up a page that lists the diaper measurements and weight ranges.

If you click on "Go Shopping", you get a menu of products. For starters, you can choose between AIOs and Diapers (which are the fitteds). The AIOs are all one size (OS). The fitteds come in OS, newborn, size 1 (front or side snap) and size 2 (front or side snap). I have a stash of NB fitteds for a future baby, and they are just about the squishiest, yummiest diaper I've ever seen. Actually, I think they ARE the squishies, yummiest, diaper I've ever seen
