Today (okay, yesterday : Thanks, insomnia!) I had my first weekly appointment, and the first one in 4 weeks due to conflicting schedules.

Everything looked great. My weight is up somewhere between 24-28lbs. Between struggling to see the numbers under my belly and having two different weights on the scale, I'm splitting the difference and saying 26lbs. Baby measured great, she showed DH and I how to feel the head engaged. Talked to DH about what to do if she didn't make it in time (especially since we're expecting a huge ice storm this weekend, and Dec is forecasted to be more wintry than last year was) and made sure he knew NOT to do what the OB did with dd and pull the baby out by the shoulders (since he brought it up). Gave us a DVD about homebirth to watch. HB sounded good.

Baby was ROP instead of LOA, so she told me to make sure I'm laying on my left side. Which is hard- it hurts my shoulderblade and makes my ribs feel bruised. But I'm trying because she does flip to LOA when I do. She also said to do plenty of pelvic rocks. As of tomorrow (saturday) I'm cleared for HB, so she said just to make sure I finish gathering up the towels and sheets that we need and call her if we needed anything. Other than that, she'll be here every week from here on out.
