My 2yo is making me crazy!

OMG, he's just turned into a little maniac recently. He is into everything. Liquids must be dumped, items must be thrown from carts, paper must be torn, drawers must be emptied. He runs the opposite direction when I ask him to come with me. If there is sensitive roped off landscaping somewhere he must tromp all over it. If there is a pen to be found he must decorate the house and himself with it.

I am just very very tired.

Wow, I am in the same boat. My 2yr old is crazy. She doesn't listen to anything, when you tell her no, she just repeates the question over and over again. I feel I am going crazy, but I know it will be worth it in the end. I had the best baby ever and I knew it was too good to last, boy was that true. My hands are full now, she is even starting to climb stuff and between her and cat, I don't know who likes to bug the other more. Hang in there, it has to get better.
Poor mamas!!! You need a girl's afternoon out or something, to give you a break.

Can you try taking your DC to a large park or soccer field and just letting them go crazy to their heart's content? That way your house doesn't get trashed and they are free to be their wild child selves.

Right there with ya...good to know that it's not just me or just her!
Mahamum, you have the right idea! Wine! It works well for me too.

My 2 year old is similar. I think of it all as learning for her. I just hope that all this destruction IS her learning - that way I feel better about all the messes.

Man, I am just so wiped at the end of the day! He just doesn't stop!

And I was teling my mom that I think it's so much harder this time not only because I have two, but because with my first I would spend more time in age appropriate environments. But now we spend a lot of time in 5yo appropriate environments. For instance my older son started a day camp today, and pickup and drop off were at the pool area. OMG, trying to sign him in and out and deal with his equipment and meal selections while keeping my 2yo from jumping into the pools was enough to make me
: .

Or when we went to a birthday party this weekend for my older son's friend, who was turning 6. There were markers all over the place with which to decorate to hardwood floors, open windows through which toys could be thrown, knives left close to the edge of the counter, etc. When my older son was 2yo, we pretty much only knew other 2yo kids, so going to their house was a lot easier.

Oh, and alcohol definitely helps - I just wish I liked it more!
