and even though i was ready for it to happen, there is still a sadness in me because she did it on her birthday last weekend. we'd talked about it but i wasn't going to say no if she still wanted to nurse at night like she had been doing...but nope..she turned 3 and told me she was a big girl now..<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> my baby is growing up!<br><br>
my 5 year old quit on her own right after her 2nd birthday. that was hard but i was pg with our now 3 year old so was ready for a little break. i was surprised it happened the way it did though...<br><br>
i am happy though that they made the choices on their own and both at the time of weaning, were very happy and comfortable with those choices...
