I posted a week or so ago about my son refusing to read a whole book and asked for suggestions.

Well, as it turns out, he has been very into the Wizardology/Dragonology books and spent a few days completely obsessed with these. We went to Target the other day and he saw "Wandology", begged me for it, so I made a deal. That if he picked out a chapter book and read the entire thing then he could have the book. He picked out a Magic Tree House book about Merlin (he's been veryinto magic) and started reading once we got in the car. I tell you the truth that this child, read the whole way home, read while at home and then later read in the car again on the way to dinner. He finished the book that day!!! And he enjoyed it!!

I of course, bought the next two books in the series and he's just as into reading the second one. It's a challenge to get him to read it, but once he starts, he ends up reading chapters at a time!

I am sooo happy!!! Thanks for all the encouragement and ideas in the other thread!
