My awesome soaker shorts

This is the 6th soaker I've made for Ben, but I finally got the fit right. Here's the link:

We use Kisslauvs and they're bulky in back but ride low in front so most soakers came up to his pits in front but didn't even cover the diaper in back...or so it seemed. This soaker happens to be a hybrid of the LTK soaker, LTK longies, Holy Sheep! soaker and Holy Sheep! longies. In other words, none of the pattern makers listed above would claim this soaker as one of theirs, but I am gratefully indebted to them for their ideas.

Oh, and the color is varigated purple using local wool yarn sold at my local yarn shop. There was a guy running the shop the day I bought the yarn, and I asked him if this purple was okay for a boy and he said yes. My dh, however, says a guy running a yarn shop does not have a qualified opinion about purple on a boy. He has said that perhaps their okay if we say Ben is a Vikings or Ravens fan. It's a very earthy purple and I just love it.
