Hi
I guess we belong with all of the EC mommas. Even though I never thought in a billon years I would be here. My son is 20 months. I have been putting him on the potty when he looks like hes going poop. TO our shock and delight he is now telling us he has to poop by pointing to the bathroom. There have been days where he will just go in the bathroom and set on his chair and go.
Can we keep doing this with the poop and not the pee? Or do we have to do both. Will he get confused? I'm still in awe that he picked this up so quickly. I love the fact he is going on the potty. Am I crazy to thing its cute? Looking for him only to find him sitting on his potty chair. With the biggest smile ever.
Sounds like you got yourself a keeper!!

You can do it for just the poo -it is his making a connection with the fact that he is going that is important. I started putting out the BB for my oldest son (not EC'd) at 18 months -just because. He potty trained much earlier than his peers (31 months, although I think he could have done it sooner, but we waited until after the baby was born).
