I'm not sure if this is absolutely hilarious, or slightly concerning.
The past few weeks I've been feeling crummy. I've been sick, and have had no energy. My dh has been sick as well and.. well.. he's pretty useless when he's sick. So its left very little time for me to shower.
I'll admit it. It was over a week. I made sure my uh... parts were washed regularly, teeth brushed, hair combed, etc. But I simply didn't have the energy to shower my whole body.
I finally got a moment today where I was feeling better, both kids sleeping. (a rare nap for my oldest) So I hop in the shower. Ahhhhh I feel much better. Much more human. I'm happy.
My daughter wakes up and says, "You're clean. You took a tubby. You're all wet."
I said, "Yep! I'm all clean!"
She then climbs in my lap to nurse for awhile. She latches on and a few minuetes abruptly pulls away with a scowl.
"I don't like it! Why did you do that? Why did you wash the nummies?!"
:
"Uh.. cause I needed a shower? They're clean now! See?"
"No no no no no!! I don't want them clean! They smell now! See?"
I try to bend down and smell them. They smell like.. clean. Like shampoo really since I don't usually soap up my body I guess its from my hair.
"Okay, they smell like soap honey. I'm just clean."
"Please don't do that again! NO SHOWERS! NO CLEANING! You made the nummie smell bad Mama. I like the nummie the way it was!"
So my daughter is against me showering. I guess she got used to the "natural" smell of my skin since I took a slight hiatus from my general hygiene.
