Hi everyone,

I posted about some upper gastric discomfort earlier last week; shortly after I went into L&D and was found to have severe HELLP (pre eclampsia), and delivered my daughter by emegency c-section at 34 weeks. She is just doing ok, not great so far in the NICU. I am so sad about my homebirth but happy to have my baby with us.

Good luck with all your babies.

Amy

Congratulations on your daughter
I trust she is getting good care by the hospital and know you are taking great care of her too. Can't wait till you can bring her home (and also share a picture with us
).

Sad to hear that it didn't go as you expected, but hope that both of you recover well. Give us updates when you have the time.

Congratulations on your little girl! I know it wasn't what you'd planned, but I'm so glad for your sake and the sake of your baby that the doctors caught the HELLP and were able to deliver you quickly.
Hope both of you have a speedy recovery and that you're able to bring your sweet little one home soon!

I'm sorry that your babies entry into the world was so far from what you had hoped for. I'm hoping with everyone else that her NICU stay is short, that she gets healthy and strong. I hope that you recover well and can be comforted in this stressful time. Welcome to your baby girl.

Congratulations on your little girl. I'm glad you went in to seek medical advice. A NICU stay is far better than some of the alternatives and I'm glad things are good. Your little girl will be home in a few weeks (hopefully less!) and you'll be able to enjoy each other. I hope you have a speedy recovery from the c-section.

I just had my son at 34 weeks also due to pre-e on April 8th interesting that there is 2 of us. He is really tiny 3lbs 7 oz. When and if you have time PM me may be we can vent a bit. I hope you are doing well and your babies stay at the hospital is short. Happy Healing.
