My dog has worms!

We've noticed them in his poop the last 3 days. What can we do to get rid of them?

What do they look like?

spagetti like : roundworms
like a grain of rice: tapworms

both of these are treatable with medication; see your vet or animal clinic. Ive heard of being able to find some meds at a pet store, but what youd get from a vet would prob. be better.
They're spaghetti like.

He's acting just fine. But he's a big, dumb (I mean that in the most affectionate sense! He's the sweetest boy ever, just not all that discerning, yk?
) Lab, so nothing really fazes him. He eats everything he comes into contact with, though. I'm sure that has something to do with it, huh?

I'll call the vet tomorrow.

see if you can take a sample of his poop in with you to the vet... or just describe them really well!

people can get rooundworms too, so be very vigilant about washing hands, scrubbing nails, not playing in poopy areas.

hope your pup gets better!

Oh, good idea aobut the sample! Thanks! I'll mention that to the vet's office tomorrow.

And thanks for the tip about transmission. I never even thought of this. I've had many dogs in my life and I can't remember any of them having worms. he's sleeping with his head on my lap, just like always so he doesn't seem uncomfortable. But I'll definitely call tomorrow and get him checked out.
