I hope this doesn't get me in trouble if it's some kind of off topic thing (if so just remove it), but I could use all the good wishes, vibes, and thoughts anyone can spare.

Our dog has been missing for 13 hours now, and it's freezing outside. She escaped through a hole in our back fence. She's done it before but only briefly before we found her somewhere close to home. We looked all over the neighborhood tonight and never saw her.

We're all so so worried, and the kids are just totally stressed. We just want her to come home to us. Thanks for any positive thoughts you can send our way. Her name is Lexus (we call her Lexy).

I hope Lexy comes home soon. I'm sure she will. It's pretty darn cold out and she's bound to get hungry.

Sending good vibes your way. One of my "babies" (read, doggies) getting lost. Call all the nearby shelters and vets and register her on Dog Detective. And keep us updated.

our dog went missing yesterday at 12 in the afternoon ..
we were all so stressed & sad last night.
he was gone all night long

but i woke up to this ugly face this morning. he'd come home at 7. my husband had slept on the couch hoping he'd come & scratch at the door & he did.
funny thing is. its been raining for hours. he was completely dry .
kinda makes us wonder if someone did try to take him.
if they did.i hope he pissed on everything in their house & chewed everything up! we have a crate he sleeps in at night because he will do this if he gets bored

it wasent raining untill about 4 in the morning.
he'd been missing since 12 in the afternoon the day before.
why would you take someones dog in from the rain? its SC . its 40 degrees outside overnight. theres about 5 barns within a mile of my house. the dog will be fine. you dont take someones dog in your house.

Ah well then... Definitely suspicious! I'm in Canada and you would totally bring someone's dog in out of the rain or other weather. We don't tend to have a lot of dog houses around here either as most (if not all) the dogs sleep inside.

Any news yet?

After calling all shelters and vets, I would go door to door in the area, then put up flyers.

I'm so sorry. I know that feeling.

: Hurry home Lexy.

yeah. dog rules are a little different in rural sc .
you dont feed peoples dogs or make friends with them.
they come in your yard you run them off... that way they'll go home. (there are VERY few strays where i live)
its an unwritten rule..
