Sometimes it's such the littlist things, right?

Ex is taking the girls next week (and I'm glad that he's going to see them, but really prepared to miss them and also worried about them adjusting and losing my nursing relationship with dd2, who will turn 2 on the day they leave and still nurses all she can). So we've been doing a lot of communicating in preparation, and so far it all looks alright...we're getting along well.

I just read his last email, full of bullet points of information needed to pass back and forth, and got to his last line, in reference to us both getting our tax situation solved fairly while he's in the country next week:

"Yeah! taxes. Can't wait."

And I actually ! I feel good we're at this point, and hope it continues. And feel very healed to be able to see any humor in our relationship...because for so long I've pretty much hardened myself as a defense mechanism. Just wanted to share!

It is nice when you get to the point where you can discuss life's little details without drama or a fight. Glad you guys can laugh together!
