A couple I am friends with just found out they are expecting a boy.

I brought up the topic of circ with the husband. I gave him some small bits of info. He said to me "Well we will probably just have it done anyway."

So I told him about my DS, who is circed, and how much he has suffered with penile adhesions and the Doctor's ripping them apart. Then I told him about the high rate of penile adhesions in circumcised boys.

Then he said " Oh well maybe we won't do that then. I guess we'll have to talk about it."

I sent him more info when I got home.

He responded and said Thanks and that they would have to think long and hard about it.

Maybe I made a difference :

Awesome job! They sound somewhat open-minded after hearing about circumcision problems I hope they listen as well! You've at least planted a seed of doubt and that's a great start.

That's great - I think some of the best, most effective intactivists are regretful parents. You've been there, and you know the problems.

Way to go! You've made this couple start to think about something they previously accepted without questioning...

You might want to send them the Penn & Teller video -- it's a great way to get through to people who have never thought about not circing before, and it shows the pro-circers for the f-ed up whackjobs that they are.

Last time I checked, you could get the entire Penn & Teller episode on youtube...I agree, though - if this is a couple that won't be offended by off colour jokes, the Penn & Teller video is excellent..

GOOD JOB MOLLY!!!
See, I told you, sometimes people DO listen. Some of the websites have circ 'videos' that you can copy as educational tools and also watch online.
Believe me, if any man saw a baby boy being circ'ed and then could allow that to be done to HIS son...can we say MONSTER

KEEP AT IT! You can make a difference!!
(I'm REALLY proud of YOU btw)
