I just purchased my first wool cover from diaperpin FSOT -- a small blue Sugarpeas merino wool jersey cover. Its in excellent condition, and I got it for just $15!! I'm pretty pleased.

NOW... how do I take care of it? What do I use to clean it? Are the sugarpeas wool covers any different in care than knitted soakers? I don't have any of those either, but a friend is going to knit me some wool for my DS and DD.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated...

Thanks!!!

(wow -- in less than 24 hours, I purchased a celestial baby fitted, a sugarplumbaby fitted, and my first wool cover -- good thing I sold DD's kissaluvs 0's!!!)

nak-Handwash wool in warmish water as needed and lanolize around once a month. I probably wash ours every two-three weeks or so unless they've been pooped on. I use a WOW bar from flickernsuds.com that has lanolin in it so there's only one process instead of the two.

I agree with the pp--I only wash my wool every 3 weeks (unless poopy). I lanolize with a wool buddy and wash my knitted wool with a bar and use liquid wool wash (Kookaburra) on my covers.
