All night my hands throb with pain and I wake up in the morning and I can barely move them. They get like this if I get cold too. What the heck is wrong with me? I'm, 3 months away from 27, I feel so old! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

Could it be arthritis?

Unfortunately, arthritis is not just something that affects the "old". <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> I have arthritis in my feet and have had it since my first year in college. Mostly as the result of a lot of wear and tear and damage I did to them as a teenage athlete. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><br><br>
Try a heating pad on your hands before you get out of bed in the morning. Perhaps one that is activated by the "snap" inside, kwim? Heat often helps more than anything, in my experience.<br><br>
Hope you feel better, mama!
