My latest obsession.

Disclaimer--this is only my personal opinion. I may have no justification for it.
I feel like I'm SMALL. As in the baby is small. Like too small. My belly feels small. No one "professional" has said so. I measured my fundal height just now and it's 40 cm, so I'm not really out of the realm by any means.
Is the baby living in my gut literally and that's why my outer belly isn't so big? Why do I want a huge belly? What's wrong with me?
Maybe since this could be my last I want to be gloriously HUGE???
It's incredible what one or two people's comments can do. "You can't be due at the end of June, you look more like 6 months!". Just amazing what an effect that can have on you.
Anyway, these are the ramblings of a term pregnant woman. Starting to go Koo KOO!!!! I guess that's normal

I am absolutely, positively the same way, except that I oscillate weekly between thinking I am too big and then too small. As in your case, my change is opinion is usually derived from someone's comment. We just have to keep in mind that we are doing just fine, and that those "someones" have no idea what they are talking about!
That's how I felt a lot of the time too.. that I was small to compared to other pg women. Fundal measurements were always good. *shrug*
Oh me too, Karen!! In fact, I just posted this yesterday in the weekly thread. I feel small. Smaller than my last baby who was over 9 lbs. I just don't feel like I have an 8 or 9 lber in me this time. Weird.

But then at the end of the night I do feel very belly-heavy so who knows?

And we still have 2+ weeks for our babies to grow until our due dates...If someone says you are small just say, "thanks. Actually I am measuring perfectly for where I am in my pregnancy! I just carry it well, I guess" and then toss your hair and give 'em a big
and waddle away.

anyhow,
Karen, im sure your little babe is doing wonderfully
i vary my thinking weekly too it seems. sometimes i feel huge, sometimes small and i never want anyone else to make a comment at all.

Thanks guys

You know what part of it is? I was induced at 38 weeks last time and had an 8lb 12 oz baby. I'm less than a week away from that now. So I'm thinking--babies are usually around the same (but not necessarily) as their siblings, so I just can't imagine that what's in my belly is 8 pounds already. But who knows!
Now it's killing me to find out exactly how big she is. But I still want to go to 40 weeks at least
I guess I have nothing better to think about since I already cleaned everything lol.

If it makes you feel better.....My baby was estimated to weigh 6 lbs 8oz at 36 weeks. The US tech told me that he would weigh about 8lbs 8oz at birth if he goes to 40 weeks! (I'm sure he will!) DD was 8lbs 6oz at 41weeks! So he is bigger. I measure a week ahead and everything this time! Then I have all these strangers telling me I'm not big enough! :LOL OH YES I AM! I just tell them that actually he measures bigger than my daughter did at this stage! they are as big as they are and they will come out when they are suppose to no matter what THEY say!
I have a small belly, too and can hardly believe there is a full grown baby in there coming any day. They actually sent me for a growth check a few weeks back because my belly seemed smallish, though fundal height was fine. At 34 weeks, they estimated the baby at 5 lbs which was just fine. So there is a baby in there somewhere! :LOL I look about 7 mths pg compared to most women.
Wow...I looked at your belly shots and then read that it's not your first and I can't believe that! You just don't look like you've had a baby before! You probably just have good abs, like I do. People have been telling me I look too small my whole pregnancy. But my midwife and 2 other midwives who examined me were all shocked at how strong my abs are. Each one thought I was having a BH contaction the first time they felt my belly...but I wasn't! So, they say that's why I look small...super strong abs. And I really don't understand it because I certainly don't exercise me abs...just high tone naturally I guess. I'm rambling. :LOL My point is...I know how it is too feel like you don't look big enough. Hang in there mama...you'll have a cute chubby baby soon!
