Ds (23 months) retracted for the first time tonight. It was the first time Dh and I had ever seen an intact glans in real life. It looks nothing like a circumcised glans! The closest comparison would be to the inside of the cheek, with the same soft look and slightly wet sheen. And it was purple!
I was like, "how neat!"

Anyhow, just had to share his little milestone.

How cool! My 6 year old still isnt retractable. It seems like the glans has seperated from the foreskin, but he cant pull it back. Just waiting for the day (and then he will be too old for me to admire, lol)

LOL!

Well, congrats Antonin, I guess.

Your observation concerning the discrepancies between the intact and circumcised glanses are apt: the two are pretty dissimilar. I find it sort of funny how much the pro-circs cherish the glans and even name themselves after it (The Acorn Society) yet for some reason fail to realise that a glans protected rather than given permanant exposure is the optimum. There really does seem to be quite a difference between the two.

Tell me about kids growing up....

Seems like only yesterday I was feeding my youngest Godson, changing his nappies and pushing him about in his pram/buggy....

Last night, I took him and his brother out for a walk, and Josh (the youngest) started feeling tired so I carried him back home - and nearly put my back out....

He's going to be a right little bruiser when he grows up.....

He'll be 5 on Sep 26th...

Nice.....

Josh is FULLY retractable, and has been since the age of 2......

Can still remember the day, when he showed me (whilst I was keeping an eye on him in the bath - whilst his mum went to get a DRY Towel..), "what I can do with my winky"...

My eyes watered, he was pulling back so much.....

Kids grow up so quick these days - He even took me round his GIRLFRIEND's house yesterday evening, to drop off a "Get Well" card for her.....

Ahh, the delights of watching little ones grow up - some good, some sad, but all so important! When mine were that age there were no camcorders
but home sound recording was all the rage. We love to listen to those old tapes from time to time and wallow in nostalgia - along with the hundreds of photos, of course!

I have an amusing tale to tell about my two daughters, 4 and 6 at the time (son not born then). I may have told it before, but it's worth retelling!

Our eldest had been at school for a year and had learned from her class friends that 'showing your knickers' was rude. She arrived back home one day and took us aside, privately, to impart this important news. We told her it was best to keep them covered, but not to worry if she forgot sometimes. Not totally convinced, she went off to find her sister. About ten minutes later they appeared and quite clearly had found the perfect answer... remove them of course! Now, why didn't WE think of that??!!

Our son a few years later? Umm... well, this is not the best advertisement for a foreskin, but do you all remember the warning on those tubes of SuperGlue? Bonds skin in seconds! Needless to say, he took his first trip to casualty - fast!

A friend of mine did that a few months back - he was busy glueing something back together, got "caught short", and 1/2 hour later was sat in casualty with a towel over his groin.....

How strange!

I was using some superglue to other day and pondered upon what might occur if its adhesive qualities were utilised on that paticular area...

What did they do in the end? I can imagine that one being a tricky situation to have to deal with. Not to mention something of a rarity. Or at least so I would hope!
