How can I possibly get rid of the family lice problem when my kids are so snuggly??

How do I get my 4yo to go to sleep without "snuggle time" or keep him from climbing in with me in the middle of the night? If I allow him to continue doing this, how do I protect my head?

Aw, I'm sorry. We battled head lice in January. To tell you the truth, I think it's easier in the family bed. At least you know where it's coming from and you only have one set of bedding to worry about.

I think the trick is to bust your butt during the day so everybody (cross fingers) goes to bed clean. To protect your head, you could always wear a shower cap. But honestly, if everyone is nit-and-bug-free before bed, I don't get why it would be an issue.

But if DS has lice, and wants to snuggle with me, how do I protect my own head?

Try combing mayonaise through your hair, infused with rosemary oil. Comb it through and put your hair up or braid it (if it is long) Messy, but worth a try. I have a friend who did that and it worked. Good luck
