I feel your pain! I don't have many proper maternity clothes yet (just a couple shirts) and need a wider band for my bra. ouch!

I guess having HG helps in a way, I can remain in my frumpy nightgown all day without harassment!

The thing is I need plus sizes and there are NO maternity stores here in town. My choice is Walmart or Target. Neither carry plus sizes.

I have the same problem with bras. Pennys and Target carry nursing bras but they have have wires in them! Walmart carries nursing bras without wires, but not my size. 42DD is the largest they carry and I need bigger.

yep. exactly! my only maternity shirts were ordered online by my sis. walmart's 1x maternity are a joke!

Do you have a sears? even if they don't carry it in store, maybe they could catalog you some? That's where I end up getting most of my maternity.

Do you have a store in town that does mastectomy supplies? If so they should be able to get you fitted for a high quality (don't worry, not terribly high priced) maternity/nursing bra such as Goddess. It may be your band is actually less but your cup is much larger (I thought I was 46DDD with my twins but it turned out I was 42H, now I'm a 40JJ after delivery).

I am SOOOO having the same bra problem! I went from a 34DD to a 36G - boy, that was a shock. I came home and took my measurements thinking I had just found a bra that fit weird and that's why it was such a large size....nope, my measurements are right on for a 36G! (Actually a 34G, but I wanted extra room as my ribs spread and I get bigger!)

hmm... that kind of limits it to online ordering huh?

maybe better luck with the bra? Call this place and see if they carry Goddess (or can at least fit you so you know what size to order online):

for the last 2 months, since i bought them, i have been wearing a pair of maternity jeans i got from motherhood maternity-they are "secret fit belly" jeans and are truly the most fantastic and wonderfully comfy pants in the entire universe.
seriously, worth every penny. not only are they cute and look like real jeans on, and i can actually comfortably squat and sit down in them, the belly panel is so stretchy and great that i can't feel it and yet it never moves on me.
they are the best ever.
http://www.motherhood.com/Collection...Category_Id=10

One of my pairs of maternity pants is too small also! What a ripoff. They fit fine in the beginning, there seemed to be room but now they constrict my belly which makes me feel kinda sick. I feel you!

My cute below the belly elastic mat pants are doing this to me too. I feel sick if I sit in them for too long

OH MY GOD I just got these jeans and they are AMAZING!!! The jeans I has bought previously were cutting into my belly, like thismama said, and making me feel sick. These "secret belly" ones are the best ever. The panel is like nylon material- SUPER STRETCHY- it goes right up to my boobs, I can't even feel it, and it never moves. I thought they looked weird on the rack, but the saleswoman convinced me to try them on, and thank god she did! I'm going to go back and get some more because they make them in black and gray dress pants too. Great for work!

And I'm pretty sure Motherhood has decent plus sizes, don't they?

The problem I have with Motherhood is the length. They are all too long on me.

However, I am desperate. We will be in Salt Lake City next Tuesday for my daughters neurosurgeon consult. They have a Motherhood store that carries plus sizes. We are hoping to get there.

Otherwise I will be in Billings on the 29th to see my Perinatologist. They said their plus size jeans are carried at the Sears store. I plan on going there.

Gawd even my shirts are too tight!

Not in your DDC, but I ended up wearing men's clothes by the end of my pregnancy. Like Men's 3X sweat pants and pajama pants, with elastic.

I have these too and LOVE them. I end up folding the 'panel' (if you can really call it that-- it's super stretchy/soft) over a lot of the time, and there's absolutely no digging anywhere.

They're too long on me too, but I just tolerate it. I imagine you could also get them hemmed or hem them yourself if you could find the time.

I second Old Navy... they also carry plus sizes. I bought a bunch of those real waist pants. The ones that look like real pants with an elastic waist. Now I have to do realy maternity pants. I love the folding waist ones that you can fold down or wear over the belly. They just don't have enough styles that are formal enough in this cut to get away with at work.

For bras, check out Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack. The main Nordstrom stores sell a good variety of larger and hard to find bra sizes. They're expensive but I find they take much longer to stretch out than the normal Bali, Vanity Fair, type brands. I can sometime find them at Nordstrom Rack for a lot less but it's hit and miss.

Old Navy is not big enough. I think they only do XXL.

There are no Nordstroms in Montana or Idaho. The closest one is in the Salt Lake City area.

those pants look interesting but i doubt i'd be able to wear them. i've had a c/s and can't wear low cut jeans, bikinis, etc as it cuts right thru the scar. ouch.

i am still wearing the 2 pair of pants i bought when i was pg with first living son - got them from target. liz lange. they're black spandex or something but loose and they don't have belly panels or anything. i've looked and looked and looked some more for more but have ahd no luck.

these things look like 'real' pants but you could put 3 people (even in the legs, lol) they can stretch so much! and since they're black they worked real well for me in a work environment.

i'm a mommy full time now so it doesn't matter to me, but whenever i start wearing maternity tops (i'm only wearing huge oversized sweatshirts right now so that no one around here knows that i'm pg yet) i will look put together and not as frumpy as i have been, lol.

I have now given up on jeans and twill-type pants. Knit only here.

I am so %@&%^ing tired of the others falling down. I squat down to do something for dd (you know, 4,000,000,000 times a day...) and my crack is hanging out.
