... if only they had had the options we do nowadays.

She recently came to visit me and I was changing a diaper in front of her. I usually just use CPFs w/Snappis and Bummis wraps now because of my DS' wiggly stage (and because its a lot more economical). Anyway, she said something about "her" diapers back when she CD'd my DH and her other two kids and mentioned that she could teach me how to fold a flatfold.

So off we traipse to the laundry room where I keep the dipes and she showed me the folding and then was telling me how she used to be SO particular about "her" diapers. They hung them all out to dry and she said she used to smooth them out with her hands and they had to be arranged "just so" on the back of the couch and how she took such pride in her folding and pinning. Then she looked through all of my stash and commented on this or that (she liked the Cuddlebuns with snaps) and just really acted all into it.

This was all really sweet to me, because my MIL has never been discouraging about my using cloth on my last two babies, but she has never really said much about it. Possibly because she doesn't visit us often (we usually go to her) and therefore she doesn't see all my "stuff". It was a neat bonding time... just thought I'd share with those of you who would understand. I was sitting there thinking to myself "Now THIS is a woman who would have been a hyena if only she'd had all the options!"

but she lives in the great beyond now and not able to see her grandchildren. I miss that sometimes that she will never know my two boys. But she was always telling her daughters to cloth diaper which they do not and if she could of seen the diapers I make and the diapers I own she would of been in heaven, which she is anyway but not on earth.
She was CRUNCHY!!

Too cool! My MIL buys us sposies every time we visit. I think she's trying to show her love and do nice things...usually...but sometimes I wonder if she's pushing her beliefs.
