Okay - she's known we use cloth all along.

In fact, she's sewing up 4 DOZEN diapers for our new baby.

But she actually changed Boo yesterday for the first time - twice !

My grandfather passed away on the weekend, and the funeral service was yesterday - we left Boo with my mom for a few hours while we attended the service.

We left Mom with several front-snapping Seedlings fitteds, all with fleece-topped doublers already in them, and a couple of Kooshies velcro covers.

Other than changing the actual cover with each change, she did great !

My mom cloth diapered my older sister... but not me...
My parents were making more money when I came around, and my sister's cloth were those great big white sheet like diapers that you folded down and pinned. (not a prefold). My father said that when I came around, he wanted diapers that "didn't stink so much" But, then again, he was the one that bought me my first cloth diaper! (I think he bought the box without checking out what exactly was inside hee hee!)

I'm so sorry about your grandfather.

My mother cd'd me, as well, and she said she was never happy with disposables when they came out, so she just stuck to the flat-folds and rubber pants. She always says, whenever she sees one of my diapers, 'oh, I sure wish I had THOSE to use...'

My mom used the big flat flannel diapers on me as well - the ones that are basically like an oversized recieving blanket - complete with pins and plastic pants.

She says I was allergic to flannel though - and she *had* to use disposables instead, because they were "so much better for" me.

hey sounds like she did pretty good! my mom changed ds for the first time the other day, but only snapped the top snaps of a side snapping diaper (there's two rows!) it was really cute. she got bonus points for leaving him coverless and sticking her finger inside the dipe to check him! lol. my ma.

I was a cloth-diped babe too My mom was a little overwhelmed with our stash at first :LOL considering she used just flats, pins & rubber pants.

I was cloth diapered with pinned flat folds from Sears and plastic pants. I can't wait to show her the stash that I have collected for DD!
