So 2 weeks ago my Peri decided to drop half of there patients, no clue why, I was one of them. I was super ticked off. I have a midwife friend that helps me with stuff sometimes, but I have to keep this whole thing very clinical as per my contract.

So getting into a new OB/Peri when you are 30 weeks with twins, is like trying to grow wings and a tail. HARD!

I got the run around from SO many places, all insisting I HAVE to see a Peri because you just simply cannot deliver twins with out one. I also cannot just use a referral from my old Peri that is dropping me, I have to get a referral from an OB. What kind of nonsense is that?

I found an OB here that was going to give me a referral to Peri.. I went to see her, SHE ROCKS! She isn't going to make me go to Peri she is going to see me herself and will be available on June 30th or July 1st to delivery baby Caden and Baby Mason. She is going to allow me 4 people in the OR, So I can have dh, both IFs and IFs mom! WOOT!

She didn't ask me every single question everyone asks me when they find out this is a surrogacy, she promised me her nurses wouldn't either, that I shouldn't have to explain myself to a different nurse every time I come in.

Here is the news I learned today, I am not measuring 34 weeks like I thought I was, I am measuring 32 weeks. She wasn't concerned. She says it is because of the huge weight loss.

I have lost no more weight, but I have not gained any either, she is not concerned.

My BP is nice and low, but she noticed some swelling in my ankles and my pubic bone was more swollen then normal (she noticed when measuring me). So she wants me on "mild bedrest" well because of the swelling and I have these weird light flashes (I call them silver fish) in my eyes and an ache in my right rib shoulder, and a slow leak, so that kinda made up her mind. She said she will only put me on strict bedrest if I think I need it. Because I know my own body. <3

She promised to do NO internal exams at all, unless I ask for it. She also agreed NOT to do an ultrasound every week. My Peri before insisted on an ultrasound every stinking week.

She was a real joy to be around, she offered me some scripts to keep me comfortable and I politely turned her down, No magic pill in the world is going to make me comfy lol. She seemed really happy I said no lol.

Sorry I am just super uber happy.

So Do I have to go post in June? I really like it here lol I don't want to make nice with a new group I love my July girls.

Sounds like being dropped by your old Dr. wasn't so bad after all! Happy for you, it's great to have a provider that you like and respect.

Great news! Really though, you should stay here, really, don't go to June's DDC, or I'll have to lurk there even more than I already do.
