We were driving along in the car and I (once again) started gagging, and Michael (7) was all "What is wrong with you lately?" So I said, "Gee, Michael, I don't know why I'm all gaggy and pukey and tired and crabby lately." I could see the glow of the lightbulb going off over his head in the rearview mirror, LOL! He said, "You're having a BABY!"

My daughter (5) is really scared and sad though. She's afraid the baby will die and I don't know what else. She keeps saying "I've never done this before." Poor dear.

Awe, your children sound so cute! What a smart boy to figure it out for himself.....I don't think I would've understood pregnancy symptoms at 7.

And your daughter....it's amazing how kids' thought processes are.
Their reactions to the new addition will be a great story to tell them when they're older.

Michael is an amazing kid. When I was pregnant with Nicholas his "job" was to bring me mints after I puked. Now he keeps being all solicitous of me and rubbing my tummy.

Katie Grace is just very cautious. She'll be OK, I think.

They're also now having dueling prayers. Michael prays--loudly--for a boy and Katie Grace prays--even louder--for a girl.
