The past two nights I've been awakened in the middle of the night by a PAINFUL cramp, one that feels like a sustained menstrual cramp, low in the uterus, almost the cervix. I've been having very regular BH, just a tightening feeling that can be uncomfortable, but nothing like this pain. This morning I checked for my cervix and it was so posterior I couldn't reach it. Also, since I just got the one cramp each night, nothing continuing (except for feeling strange and worried in the middle of the night!) I'm not too worried about it meaning PTL or anything. I guess I'll call and run it by my mw, but I was wondering if anyone else had anything like it.

Thanks!

Ligament pain? I get a sharp ligament pain upon standing up *ahem* after an orgasm But, it's definitely on one side or the other, not centered.

Could be a ligament pain associated with the BH ctx?

Could the baby be kicking (or punching) your cervix and causing a painful reaction? That happened to me with DS. Felt like he was punching me in the vagina. Ouch!

Thanks for the suggestions and concern.. I spoke to the mw and she wasn't worried. She thought it was possibly just a growth spurt (baby & hence uterus, I guess). Also, it's been a very stressful week: a friend lost her baby at 20 wks and it's finals time at school. I was just so suprised by it, and by feeling crampy when that hasn't happened since week 7 or so that I wasn't quite sure what it could be. Anyhow, we decided that it's a combination of stress/lack of sleep and baby maybe doing something different than usual. I tried to check my cervix, also, and it was so far posterior that I couldn't even reach it, so no concerns there. I think my friend losing her baby affected me much more than I initially believed.
Again, thanks for your concern.

oh yeah, I get that every day! Like baby is tap dancing down there. Sometimes I feel like yelling "LAY OFF" but I guess that wouldn't do anything...

I get those sometimes, I don't know what they're from.
