Congrats and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I had a very rough time dealing with the whole 8 week NICU stay for my twins. They were born 10 weeks early, very healthy but I just hated the experience! Their first birthday was a milestone but the anniversary of the day they came home from the NICU was a better overall feeling for me then their birthday. It felt like it was "right" and we had come full circle with them. Maybe once that birthday rolls around, you will feel a little better as well.
Happy Birthday, Sydney! You are a gorgeous little sweetheart!

Great job, mama, for getting through the first year! Sometimes I think it's a bigger accomplishment for us NICU mamas than for anyone else... nobody understands what it's like to live through that first year and have such a wonderful, joyous, beautiful toddler at the end like we do . At least nobody in my world "gets" it...
