Well, I posted a few weeks ago about how the red liner in my bag bled to the outside fabric. Just got things sorted out with PPB and they are going to send me a brand new bag!! I actually can't believe it. They said that the fabric was supposed to be water resistant and it shouldn't have done that so if you have my bag - light blue with red butterflies, red interior - and end up having a problem, it's not a total loss. They don't carry my bag anymore but they've given me some choices.

Which leads me to my 2nd question. It is so hard to tell what the bags look like on the net. The Shrimp Roll, for instance, doesn't look all that great on my computer but when I saw it in person, it was gorgeous. So has anyone seen the Bam Bam (light blue bamboo outside, egg shell inside) or the Land of Lost (chocolate outside, robins egg inside)? This is what they have right now. I like the contrast of Land of Lost but also am considering waiting for the Sunset Dragon one (red). Any opinions from people who've seen them in the stores? The two they offered me are new and weren't around when I went shopping.

Thanks.

I have seen them all. The brown is nice, but not as cool as I had hoped. I have the Bam Bam, which is light colored, so not holding up as well as I would hope. My sister has the red one which is COMPLETELY FABULOUS. I got her the toddler tote also which she uses as a handbag with the boxy backpack as a diaper bag.

Any way you go, they are all beautiful. I am so glad that ppb did right by me. They aim to be a high class company, so I dont think they would quibble over one bag.

Yay!!! oxox pam

Man. I was hoping someone would say how awesome the chocolate one is - I was leaning towards that. I love the contrast. I've seen the red in person and it is gorgeous but, like you said, they all are.

Mara, I had to send the bag back for them to check out. I asked for them to return it and she's checking to see if that'd be okay. I'm actually planning on using the good fabric that's left to make something else. I love the fabric and I'm sort of attached. Can't blame ya for trying - I love these bags. What were you planning on doing with it?

I'll say it - I have the chocolate and I it!!! I went to the store wanting the advocado roll - they didn't have it, but when I saw the land of the lost I was totally sold!!! The colors are amazing. They are all beautiful though.

Land of the Lost is my favorite. Every time I go baby shopping I drool all over it. The PPB pic makes the chocolate color seem a bit lighter than it is. Also the contrasting color is a not-too-bright minty green color. Its very striking. I love it. Plus, I think it is fashionable as a summer and winter bag.

Sigh, I need a winter bag. Maybe I'll buy the Land of Lost, too.

I just wanted to say that I have the sunset dragon and it is GORGEOUS - and it has held up perfectly (even with the abuse we've put it through). I've heard of others having to trim threads or deal with spots or stains. Mine has been rained on several times (hard to avoid that one) and still looks as beautiful as the day I got it!! (thanks, Pam) :LOL

Not sure exactly, I'd have to see it. I just couldn't buy one for full price so if I could get one used for less than the normal price- even damaged- I'd be pretty happy. Like you said, the fabrics are beautiful, even if it couldn't be used as a bag any more at least you can do something with the fabric pieces.

And your original question, they carry them at a baby shop near my house and every one I have seen is absolutely gorgeous.

I live in Dallas Fort Worth area and all of the baby shops stay out of PPB. Last year I had to call and then wait months for them to be restocked. There are literally none in my area!

I'm going to toss and turn all weekend over which one to getag Oh the pressure. Land of the lost is high on my list because I think it's really classy looking and I can get in now. But I sure do like that red one! Would have to wait for it.

And Mara, when I wasn't sure how PPB was going to handle this I started searching for an alternative. The good news is that if you sew you can get the fabric online and see if there's a cute bag pattern. That's what I was going to do b/c the $$ is just too much for another bag. I've seen the chocolate fabric, the red, and a dragonfly print that is really beautiful but PPB discontinued it. Can't find my original fabric though. Looking at all that fabric made me feel greedy - like I need 15 bags (just for a little change now and then, eh?). Oooooo, if I got land of the lost I could make a blanket or something to go along with it. I think I'm going to pass out with the possibilities.

Thanks ladies for your input.

Have you seen somewhere that sells the fabric? Or know who makes it or anything?

I was on a desperate search to find the fabric for a few days and here's what I came up with.

www.equilter.com - search brocade. From what I can tell, they have the Bam Bam and Red brocade. They also have some different butterflies and dragonflies - these are beautiful and some used to be used in bags by PPB.

www.sherrymama.com - can't remember what they have

www.goodorient.com - can't remember this one either

www.ginnysfinefabrics.com - Land of the Lost

If that last one doesn't work, take out the last s.

I searched asian brocade, chinese brocade, dragonflies brocade, butterflies brocade, anything I could think of. I never found my fabric from the original bag. I'd like a bag made out of the Shrimp Roll, too - the computer does not do it justice.

If anyone finds more sites, I'd love to see them!
