I am now going on 34 weeks, and I have always been a stomache sleeper, so I am having a horrible time sleeping on my side. I wake up more often because my shoulders hurt from laying on them than I do to go to the bathroom!! How am I supposed to get any rest?
Pillows!! My mother was such a belly sleeper that she insisted on being on her belly propped up with pillows even in labor. I have found that with enough pillows I can get the pressure off of my shoulders most of the time so I don't end up with as much shoulder pain. I have some arthritis in my shoulders so it can get BAD. I totally understand what you are feeling. WIth my body pillow and 9 other pillows in bed I rarely wake up in pain.

Of course they don't always stay where I need them which explains why I am up at 4:30am, eh?

Good luck finding a way you can sleep comfortably!!!
