I did a googled but found little information.

She is also bulemic.

Any info you can give me would be appreciated. My mom is helping her with treatment and wants to combine natural and allopathic care.

Google DSM--which is the manual of mental illness diagnoses. The library probably has a reference copy.

They didn't specify which personality disorder, though? Are they going to do further testing? A lot of the personality disorders involve manipulation of others and you would obviously treat those quite differently.

I wish my copy of DSM was current but I only have IV. Good Luck.

The depression and bulimia may be a result of her personality disorder. Depression often runs in conjunction with another mental health issue and bulimia can occur as a way for her to control SOMETHING in her life.

Perhaps this site can point you in the right direction?
http://www.mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/p...44/default.asp

I think its probably Personality Disorder NOS (not otherwise specified) w/ depression.

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a very good suggestion; it focuses on mindfulness techniques to reduce stress and cope with the symptoms of personality disorders. I would think it would also help with bulimia.
