A lot of states offer online Public School. Connections Academy is one that is offered in our state. If you are just interested in casual stuff then check out our HS website (see sig). I have a bunch of stuff there that my boys like to play on.

My 15 year old attends Florida Virtual School www.flvs.net
They currently only offer middle school and high school classes, but they sent out a bulliten that they plan on starting elementary education online soon. At first they will only offer it to families that have one child already enrolled in the m/s or h/s level and then later open it to the public.
I can't say enough about flvs. My daughter is making straight A's and is learning more in 3 hours a day than she did in 6 at her h/s.
There is a lot of critical thinking in their lessons and lots of hands on experiments.
It's free to florida residents and I believe there is a tuition to pay if you are out of state.
I love all of her teachers, we chat on the phone once a month. I have more contact with her instructors than I ever did at public school. I highly recommend it to anyone with children 6th grade and up.
Connections Academy is in your state: http://www.connectionsacademy.com/st...choolCode=orca as an alternative to a brick & mortar public school (but still a public school).

K12 has an online program called Independence, Oak Meadow has an online option and if you are interested in a religious program there is Switched-On Schoolhouse (might be possible to skip Bible if you are looking for something secular, not sure as I havent seen it IRL).
