No, we dislike heavy metal music.

Despite that, Gavin seems to get great enjoyment over, well, headbutting. He'll headbutt the kitties, he'll headbutt daddy, he'll headbutt the *wall* when we're in bed and he's playing around, and he'll try to headbutt the rats through their cage! I think he probably picked it from the kitties, who will nudge you with their head if they demand attention, but who knows.

Headbutting daddy or the wall reduces him into a fit of giggles. If it's the wall, he'll headbutt it, giggle, look at me and giggle some more and repeat the process until I drag him away. If I don't get him giggling at some other activity, he'll immediately crawl back to the wall.

Thankfully it appears as if inherited my SO's really hard head (figuretively AND literally hehehe) but I just cannot take the sound, so I won't let him do it against the wall.

Am I the only one with the little weirdo who enjoys headbutting or is this some untalked about stage of life?

Just found this thread now or I would have responded sooner...my 26 month-old little boy has a variation on head-butting. He uses his head as a drum! He just slaps away on his head like a bongo drum when he's dancing, listening to music, gets excited about something....it's so funny to watch!

Nope, your not alone! yana age 2 loves to headbutt. And savy around that age used to bang his head against the wall, I use to wonder about his mental development. Thankfully he outgrew it but Yana busted her granddaddy's lip just days ago with a headbutt.
